BXpanded Talon BH RIPPER

Any back hoe ripper can pull up a stick or a rock. Not all can tear through roots and hard packed surfaces like the BXpanded Talon Ripper. Its tapered, toothed edge and strategically curved shape give an aggressive tearing surface other BH rippers can’t match.  It incorporates a "Hook" on the back side to allow you to push as well as pull that stubborn stump.

Easily installs using the standard bucket mounting pins.  It's also fully compatible with our Quick-On BH Bucket Connector for even quicker changes.  Connector sold seperately.

It’s built with US made steel, with all the strength you’ll need to use every bit of the power of your machine.  It’s TOUGH! Just like the job you have to do!

The Talon comes in great looking hammered silver finish that compliments any color. It’s fully welded construction requires no assembly, and takes less than 5 minutes to install with no modifications to your tractor.

NOTE: Barracuda BH Thumb shown is sold seperately and is not included with the ripper.

Without exaggeration, I have accomplished more with this attachment in the past two days, than I have without it in the past six months. This thing is fantastic! I read the reviews of how it will cut through roots but I wanted something to break up the decaying rock we have a lot of here in western NC. This worked great for what I hoped it would do. After two days of work, it looked just as good as when I took it out of the box. Great product! I would highly recommend this attachment.

This thing is absolutely savage! It takes a bit of an adjustment to learn the best way to remove stumps but once you do, man this thing is a beast. If you have to rip a bunch of stumps, make the investment!

The ripper is amazing, with it I was able to pull out a 22 oak stump and several other smaller stumps. For the big roots I used as a saw to cut through and if small enough just ripped through. The quick change made it easy to change from bucket to ripper and back. All I can say is the ripper makes the little BX work like a much bigger tractor. Thanks Harry for an excellent enhancement to a great tractor!

Are you kidding me!
This tool paid for itself in one hour! If you have stumps to clear don't hesitate purchasing this tool. I'm 72 years old and recently spent eight hours digging out 3 stumps using the backhoe bucket, which included a serious amount of manual labor. I did the same job in just over an hour with little physical labor and far less damage to the land. This thing is amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is the ninth tool/product I have got from Harry and his crew. They keep on getting better all the time. The ripper works 10 times better than a competing brand that I have. It was taking longer to set my Kubota up than it was to dig out these small stumps. My BX25 is starting to look like an advertisement for BXPANDED. Great job Harry!

Very high quality and easy to put on. Works very well on smaller stumps. The issue is not the claw but the power of the machine. Stumps and roots are tough. Start about a foot or so out from the stump and the roots are not so big. Makes short work of small stumps with much less damage to the surrounding yard than the bucket.

If you are thinking of a ripper tooth for your BX, look no further. This thing is amazing! I first used a ripper tooth from another brand (most of you reading this know who's it was) and it did better than the bucket but is honestly best suited for making narrow trenches. The Bxpanded tooth however is a different story. It is slender but super strong. It made a significant difference compared to the other tooth. I would estimate a reduction in time of about 40% between rippers. The hook on the back didn't seem like it would be of much function to me when I ordered but it turns out that is one of my favorite things about this. Pulling out those awkward twisting roots with the hook and not having to reposition is fantastic. I'm not sure what else I can say about this other than it performs far better than expected and is worth every penny (assuming that you value your time and fuel).

Love this tool.&return&&newline&&return&&newline&Easy on and off.&return&&newline&&return&&newline&Tears into roots like no one's business, and is making removing stumps a lot easier for me.&return&&newline&&return&&newline&It also is very handy for digging out larger rocks, as I can get it under an edge and pull up, where with the bucket, it can be tricky to get one tooth under a rock and pull.

I have had this a couple weeks & used it today. Twenty year old 9 inch dia. crab tree. Growing in clay and lime stone. Three tap roots 4 inch dia. each. Ripper worked great had stump out in 40 minutes. The only thing that slowed me down was the bx25 itself. It's a small machine, small horse power. I started too close to the trunk, moved out 18 inches from trunk and started curling the ripper to cut the roots. I'm very happy with the ripper's performance. I've done this before with a shovel and axe and it took three to four hours. I'll probably be smiling next week because this was so easy compared to the old way.

Recently picked up this item and was pleased with its construction. The steel plate and welds should hold up to many years of use. Not having to use a pick and shovel anymore will be a back saver.
